Published

on

WhatsApp is developing a new Boomerang feature, like Instagram, that would allow you to make looping videos. Currently, the feature is in the testing mode. It has been reported that initially, the feature will only be available for iPhone users. But once the company makes it available for iOS then it will also hit the Android devices soon.

Instagram has already developed a Boomerang app for its users to let them easily make one-second video loops.

WhatsApp to Test a Boomerang Feature

The development of the Boomerang feature was reported by WABetaInfo. WhatsApp users will receive the new feature through the Video Type panel, that is currently providing the ability to convert a video file into a GIF file.

According to the source, this new feature will only be available for videos that are not longer than seven seconds. Furthermore, users will be able to share the video loops with WhatsApp contacts that are created through the new feature. The videos could be shared with WhatsApp contacts through a message or uploaded as a status update. We hope that WhatsApp users will enjoy this new feature.

Well, it has also been reported that Facebook is planning to re-brand the Whatsapp and Instagram. Let’s see how the parent company will re-band these two social apps. Would it be the best idea or not?

5 best Android apps for screen recording and other ways too!

After too many requests from readers that is to tell them how to record your screen on Android. The functionality has been around for quite some time but usually requires some adjustment to get it. In Android Lollipop, they have a screen recording method building into the OS and that’s how many people do it these days. Let’s take a look at a few Android apps and some other methods to record your screen. Please note, changes to Android Pie prohibit apps from recording internal sound so your videos most likely will not have the sounds of anything you do. It’s unfortunate, but it’s Google’s fault.

AZ Screen Recorder

AZ Screen Recorder is the gold standard for screen recorder apps. It’s light, very easy, accessible, and cheap. It features an overlay button that doesn’t interfere with the recorded stuff. In addition, you can also add the front-facing camera for things like game streams or commentary. It even has a built-in small video editor. That way you can cut away the parts that don’t matter. Of course, it doesn’t require root, has no watermarks, no time limits, and more. The pro version goes for $2.99. It’s probably the best and most popular screen recorder available.

Google Play Games

Google Play Games is not just a hub for your mobile gaming only but It also has a screen recording function. It works rather well. However, it is mostly only for gamers. When you launch the game with the screen recorder directly from the app. It records your content and then stops as it should. You can get out from the games-only limitation by exiting the game mid recording and then going to whatever app you want. However, at that point, we’d probably just recommend AZ instead. It’s probably a better option for gamers rather than the normal stuff.

Screen Recorder by Kimcy929

Screen Recorder by Kimcy929 is also a good, simple screen recorder. It does the basics quite well and has support for several languages. Some of the good features include recording the screen, taking screenshots, support for the phone cameras, and some super basic video editing at the end of your recording. It’s good for the simple stuff like showing off something on your mobile or something like that. We still recommend AZ Screen Recorder first, but this isn’t a bad (and simpler) option. The free version worked very well as well.

Twitch, YouTube Gaming, and similar screen recording apps

Many streaming services now include mobile support. Twitch and YouTube Gaming are two of the most well-known ones. You simply stream your gameplay like normal. Both of the services allow you to download your footage after you’re done. It’s a good solution for gamers especially. Of course, it’s probably better than Google Play Games for this kind of stuff. Unlike Google Play Games, it’s kind of difficult to use this one for apps or anything other than gaming. At least these services are free.

Vysor and similar apps

Vysor is a fun little app that allows you to cast your phone to your computer screen over USB. From there, you can use it on your computer or record the screen on your PC if you’d like to. It tends to work pretty well although you will need to pay out a little bit of money in order to get HD quality. This app doesn’t record anything on its own so don’t expect any options to do so. You’ll have to record it on your computer on your own. If this app isn’t cutting it for you, TeamViewer is another decent option in this place. You do need a screen recording app on your computer in order to capture footage, though.
