Bad News! Nokia 2 Android Pie Update Will Never Arrive

Nokia 2 was launched as entry-level phone  back in October 2017. The phone was updated with Android 8.1 Oreo back in March 2019. At the time of its launch, the company promised that the phone will come with two years of version updates. That’s why Nokia 2 owners had been waiting for HMD to drop Android Pie Update. But the bad news was that Android Pie Update will now never roll out to the users. It turns out that Android 8.1 Oreo is the last version update for this entry-level smartphone from Nokia.

HMD Will Not Drop Nokia 2 Android Pie Update Now

A few weeks back, the customer support confirmed that Pie would eventually arrive on Nokia 2, but didn’t share any info about the timeframe for the release. However, recently an Admin from the Nokia community has confirmed that the customer support had some misunderstanding.

It was quite clear from her reply that Nokia 2 users will never get Android Pie Update. Sources claim that HMD Global will roll out security patches for the Smartphone. However, some people are still hoping to get Anndroid pie Update. Let’s see what Happens next.

Facebook is working on a new Messaging App Called Threads

Facebook keeps on launching a new features on and off, but this time, the company is launching a new app that in inspired by Snapchat. The name of the Facebook Messaging app is Threads and it allows users to share their status, location and other main information with their close friends.

This application will act as a subordinate of Instagram and will let users to share their information with friends on Instagram keeping in view the privacy. Currently, the app is in the testing stage and Facebook has not revealed any information regarding it.

Facebook Messaging App will Ensure Privacy

We have come across some illustrations screenshots of Threads on social media which reveal that the app will work in the most facilitated way. Some of the features which we can see in the screenshots are automated sharing among users with their close friends’ list of Instagram.

The app also facilitate users to go for automatic sharing choice that will update the status of user sharing the information with their friends. but one would not be able to share the real-time location due to privacy concerns. It will only notify your friends that you are moving somewhere.

Threads will let its users to update the status manually. Information sharing is not the main concern of the company as the main focus of it remains messaging. Like Facebook, one would be able to see online friends via dots.

The bottom line is that whenever your friends will post a story on Instagram, you will be able to see it on Thread. The app also facilitate users with a camera so that they can take pictures and sent it to their close friends.

Right now the company has not announce the launch date of Threads. So we had to wait and wait till Facebook launches it for everyone.

WhatsApp to Test a Boomerang Feature

WhatsApp is developing a new Boomerang feature, like Instagram, that would allow you to make looping videos. Currently, the feature is in the testing mode. It has been reported that initially, the feature will only be available for iPhone users. But once the company makes it available for iOS then it will also hit the Android devices soon.

Instagram has already developed a Boomerang app for its users to let them easily make one-second video loops.

WhatsApp to Test a Boomerang Feature

The development of the Boomerang feature was reported by WABetaInfo. WhatsApp users will receive the new feature through the Video Type panel, that is currently providing the ability to convert a video file into a GIF file.

According to the source, this new feature will only be available for videos that are not longer than seven seconds. Furthermore, users will be able to share the video loops with WhatsApp contacts that are created through the new feature. The videos could be shared with WhatsApp contacts through a message or uploaded as a status update. We hope that WhatsApp users will enjoy this new feature.
